King Kong Iron-On

Digging through a file full of magazine clippings that my wife's grandmother put together decades ago, we came across this gem. It's an advertisement for the Dino De Laurentiis Kong film from the January '77 issue of Family Circle Magazine, and it includes an iron-on.

7 Days Without Booze...

My weirdly large collection of old Sillisculpts statues has developed a few smaller sub-collections, and one of them apparently involves booze.

I've become somewhat choosey when it comes to buying these over the years, but I can not pass up an ugly statue that takes a whimsical approach to being an alcoholic.

Playmobil (Blind Packed) Fi?ures

Playmobil jumped on the whole blind packed toy bandwagon recently with these bagged figures, and I've finally gotten around to trying my luck with them.

They come in two varieties: there's a series of pink bagged female figures, and a series of blue bagged male figures.

I pulled a mermaid from the pink set, and a Zorro like figure from the blue set. Both are awesome, but what's really cool is that they come unassembled, which gives you the opportunity to build custom figures from the various parts.

I really dig Zorro and the mermaid, but there are a few others that I really need, like the executioner, the witch, and Uncle Sam.
