Hot Wheels Batmobiles and More

A few random Batmobile finds while out and about recently...

First there's the Color Shifters Burton Batmobile from last year. Flames appear on this one when it's either hot or cold. Pretty cool, but I'm not really a huge fan of gimmicks like the whole "color shift" thing.



And then there's the Batman 5-pack from Hot Wheels.



It's a nice little set, but there's nothing outrageous going on here either. The Batmobile (Tumbler) is great, and the Joker version of the Bone Shaker is pretty fun.

Tyrannosaurus Rex

...well, sort of. This is as close to a Tyrannosaurus Rex as Imperial Toys got in the late '70s. Seems to be pretty similar to one of their rubber alligators. Makes me happy that alligators don't run on their hind legs.

The Dark Knight... Button

Was just reading through the latest issue of Batman, and remembered how in '86, or probably '87, it was Frank Miller's The Dark Knight Returns that got me back into comic books after a time away from them. Funnier still, it's the same book that got me back into them again a few years ago.

I wear my nerd badge proudly.

Monster Rings

I picked up a box of these plastic rings from a seller in Mexico recently. They're classic gumball machine ammo, but in some slightly brighter colors than what you might have seen originally.

Bull Rider

This one's hard to categorize. It's not really a bootleg toy exactly, even though it's made with bootleg quality. Sort of a random piece of pop art from a factory that specializes in cheap blow mold toys.
